The Pecos County Senior Citizens Center will play host to its annual Labor Day Potluck lunch this Friday, Sept. 1, at noon at the Senior Center, located at 1010 W. 14th Street in Fort Stockton.

Barbecue brisket and drinks will be provided but all attendees are asked to please bring a side dish or a dessert of their own making.

The Pecos County Senior Citizens Center is open to all Pecos County residents who are 50 and older, with dues only $5 per year. New members are welcome to sign up at the Labor Day Cookout.

Regular activities at the Center include regular Skip Bo games, quilting, dominos, potluck luncheons, Zumba classes, Sing Alongs and other events throughout the year. It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet new people and have a cool place to relax during the coming summer months. For younger folks, it’s a safe place for your parents, or grandparents that will keep them active during the daylight hours.
