Tickets for Saturday’s performance, which will include a reception following the performance so that the audience can meet the cast members, are $15.00. Tickets for Sunday’s matinee are $10.00. Tickets may be purchased with credit card online at fscommunitytheatre.org or at the door for cash or check. Doors will open thirty minutes before the performance.

Kirby Warnock, a local historian and film maker, pointed out that there is actually a connection between Pecos County and the infamous bank robbers. Frank Hamer, the man tasked with tracking down Bonnie and Clyde and, eventually, killing them, got his start in law enforcement in Pecos County. Hamer was working on the Carr Ranch, which is now a part of Ernest Woodward’s ranch near Bakersfield, and apprehended some cattle thieves and held them for Pecos County Sheriff Dudley S. Barker. Barker was so impressed with Hamer’s work that he recommended him to the Texas Rangers, and, as they say, the rest is history.

Join in the fun of a musical in the cool of The Nelson Street Theatre Aug. 26 and/or Aug. 27. For more information call Alice Duerksen at 336-3180.
