City work crews were out the day before Thanksgiving hanging Christmas decorations along Dickinson Blvd., getting Fort Stockton in the holiday spirit. The city’s annual Christmas parade is set for Friday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m., and Santa will be at the Visitor’s Center, 1000 Railroad Avenue for free pictures.

Also Friday, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., the Fort Stockton Historical Society and Annie Riggs Museum present Annie’s Christmas Welcome. The event will feature festive foods, music and games for kids. Be sure to get your pictures with the Grinch. And on Saturday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish invites the public to Breakfast with Santa from 8:30-11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church Hall. There is no charge for the event.
