“A Bad Year for Tomatoes” stars Kathy Montanez as Myra Marlowe, an actress, who has found a mountain retreat where she can write her autobiography and raise tomatoes. Kyle Card plays Tom Lamont, her agent who tries to get her to return to show biz.

Myra encounters some of the locals played by Michelle Salazar, Jordan Rychlik, and newcomer Gretta McKissack. Daniel Frank is returning to the FSCT as Piney, a local woodsman, and Gerardo Pules makes his stage debut as the Sheriff. When Myra cooks up a simple-minded sister to try to keep the locals from bothering her while she writes, the confusion and misunderstanding add to the laughs. It makes for an evening of laughter for all ages. Reba Subia has stepped in to run lights and sound.
