FBI raids local business

An FBI spokesman in Midland confirmed Friday that the FBI executed a search warrant Aug. 20 at Fidel Grocery and Market/Paisano Bail Bonds on Callahan Street.

Agents seized evidence during the execution of the sealed warrant, according to Matt Espenshade. The evidence is scheduled to be presented to a federal court judge in Midland for possible charges.
The warrant could be unsealed by the judge as soon as late this week, Espenshade said.

Espenshade said he had no further comment on the investigation.

Salvador Salazar, the owner of the establishment, said he would not comment, pending consultation with his attorney.
