Patrol Agent in Charge
Chief Patrol Agent John J. Smietana, Jr., recently announced the appointment of Jeffrey L. Flud as Patrol Agent in Charge of the Fort Stockton Station, Marfa Sector, U.S. Border Patrol. Flud has been serving as Field Operations Supervisor at the Alpine Station.
Flud was a member of Academy Class 223. He entered on duty in July, 1988. He was assigned to the Laredo North Station until 1995. He served as a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent at Cotulla, Texas from 1995 until 2001. He came to Marfa Sector as a Supervisor at Presidio Station. In 2003, he became the Field Operations Supervisor at Presidio where he served until the Alpine appointment in 2007.
Flud has a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He and his wife Rhonda have four children. He is very active in youth sports.
