Last Flea Market of 2007 to be held this Saturday

It's hard to believe, but the very last First Saturday Flea Market of 2007 will be held in Fort Davis this Saturday. Every first Saturday from March through December, the flea market is held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. right beside Old Fort Country and The Caboose on Highway 17 north of downtown Fort Davis. This is the Big Bend region's largest flea market, regularly drawing vendors from the community plus Marfa, Alpine, Terlingua, Marathon, Fort Stockton, Pecos, and beyond. The proportion of regional arts and crafts has grown through the season and regularly includes unique items by artists and craftspeople that won blue ribbons at this year's Permian Basin Fair in Odessa. First Saturday Flea Market has been described as "real items by real people." It will resume on March 1, 2008.
