Sorority looks forward to the Christmas holiday
Laureate Epsilon Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Tuesday evening, October 23, in the home of Sue Gordon.
Members repeated the traditional opening ritual in unison before the business meeting conducted by Susan Gordon. Reports were given and correspondence read. As their Christmas project the chapter will give $100 worth of toys to the Toys for Tots program. Plans were also made for the October social at Happy Days. The closing ritual and Mizpah were repeated in unison.
For her program on Halloween Sue told of the many different customs and superstitions dating back to pre-Christian times. In conclusion she conducted an amusing Halloween word search which was won by outstanding word-searcher Linda Ball.
During the social hour Mrs. Gordon served triple chocolate brownies and Blue Bell ice cream, Halloween cookies, candy corn, coffee and tea to the eight members present. Jean Lockhart won the attendance prize.
