Prowlers gear up for Bi-district match
The Fort Stockton Prowlers hosted Monahans on Tuesday October 23rd in the Special Events Center. It was the final regular season match for the Prowlers before the playoffs. It was also senior night as the six seniors were honored along with their parents before the match. Although the Prowlers fell to the Loboes in three games, they showed many bright spots during the game.
"I'm very proud of the girls and how they have never given up during the season," says Coach Revis. "It shows a tremendous amount of character."
The Prowlers will face Fabens in the first round of the playoffs this year. The Game will take place on Tuesday October 30th at the Sul Ross Gymnasium in Alpine starting at 7 p.m. For more information please call the Athletic Department at 336-4112.
To get ready for the Fabens game, the Prowlers have a warm up match in Lubbock against a top ranking 2A team out of Amarillo. The Prowlers will play against River Road High School Saturday October 27th at 4 p.m. the location is still not been announced. Following the game against River Road, Coach Revis is taking the girls to watch the Texas Tech vs. Baylor volleyball match at 7 p.m.
The 9th grade team won their final game of the season against Monahans on Tuesday. The JV fell to Monahans in their game but the season is not yet over for some of the JV and 9th graders. The JV girls who will be moved up to Varsity for the Playoffs are Amanda Gonzalez, Juanita Gonzalez and Kira Warnock. There will also be a few 9th graders moved up for the playoffs. They are Brooke Bruington, Alaina Granado, Andrea Salmon and Ysenia Ybarra.
