Chavira-Lopez Engagement

Amanda Michelle Chavira and Ector Sanchez Lopez, Jr., are announcing their upcoming summer wedding. They will be united in marriage July 14, 2007, at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Midland.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of longtime Fort Stockton residents, Ignacio, Jr., and Linda Chavira, and the granddaughter of Aurora Chavira, Fort Stockton, and Elvira Ramirez, San Angelo, and the late Ignacio Chavira, Sr., and the late Frank Ramirez. She is a 2000 graduate of Fort Stockton High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
The prospective groom is the son of Ector, Sr., and Alvina Lopez, longtime residents of Fort Stockton, and the grandson of Margarita Sanchez, Midland, and the late Manuel Sanchez and the late Jose and Consuelo Lopez.

Employed by the Midland Independent School District, the bride-to-be is entering her third year as a Spanish teacher and coach. The prospective groom is a 1997 graduate of Fort Stockton High School and a December 2001 graduate of Angelo State University. He has been employed by the Midland Independent School District for six years and is a History teacher and a Varsity Football coach for Midland High School.

The couple currently resides in Midland.
