Wedding date set

The engagement and approaching marriage of Nikki Rae Tavarez and Chad Alan Wurm, both of Lubbock has been announce.

The bride to be is the daughter of David and Rachel Tavarez, Fort Stockton. She is a graduate of Fort Stockton High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice from Angelo State University. She graduated from the Lubbock Police Department Academy in 2004 and is currently employed by the Lubbock Police Department.
The prospective groom is the son of Robert and Shirley Wurm, Yoakum. Chad served in the United State Air Force for 10 years. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he received the rank of Tech Sergeant. He graduated from the Lubbock Police Academy 2004. He is currently employed with the Lubbock Police Department.

The couple has chosen February 2 as their wedding date. The nuptials will be performed at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Fort Stockton. Father David Herrera will officiate.
