Teacher technology classes for July
"In an attempt to get teachers trained in basic technology skills, I am doing a 'spin-off' on the 'No Child Left Behind Act', and calling this teacher technology training, 'No teacher left behind in technology'. 'No Child Left Behind' is also called 'Nickel Bee' for the acronym of NCLB. Well, I call this staff development in technology, 'TickleBee' for the spoofed acronym of "TLM" (No Teacher Left Behind) as a hook to get the teachers in the trainings. Like it or not, The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) has set technology standards for educators, and some FSISD educators are in need of some basic technology skills" said Debra Ezell.
The public is invited at no charge.
Dates and class are: Tuesday, July 11, "WOW! How Do You Do That?" (Microsoft Word). Wednesday, July 12, Microsoft Publisher, "Make Really Cool Brochures". Thursday, July 13 "PowerPoint, the Easy Way" Friday, July 14 "PowerPoint II: Higher Level"
Monday, July 17 "email 101: All you wanted to know about Outlook Express and more". Tuesday, July 18, "FSISD WebMail" "Calendars, appointments", auditable reminders "How to Make it Sing and Dance for you" Wednesday, July 19 "Digital cameras and your curriculum"

Thursday, July 20, basic PC trouble shooting, little things you can do to "Fix it yourself".
Friday, July 21, tablet PC Integration. Sweet little lesson plans to make your class fun.
Monday, July 31, Databases Got You Down? Well... no more. Microsoft ACCESS at its EASIEST!
All classes will be held at the Technology Center from 4 pm until 6 pm.
