Middle School Prowlers place third, fifth at Comanche Relays

The Fort Stockton Middle School Prowlers competed in the Junior Comanche Relays March 7 and had several strong individual performances. Fort Stockton tennis competes at Reagan County

The Fort Stockton High School JV Panthers made their way to Big Lake Thursday to continue tournament play in preparation for district after spring break. Taking a mixed doubles and two girls singles, all were able to come away with wins in their respective brackets that contained anyone from 1A-6A competition. While all played hard, one person to highlight is freshman, Valeria Palacios. Palacios was able to walk away with 3rd place in Girls Singles.

Prowler track runs in Levelland

The Prowlers competed at the Levelland Relays on Friday March 22. The girls competed well, and we are looking forward to the District Meet in Fort Stockton on April 2 and 4. Results are as follows: • Fifth Place: Ingrid Aguilar 400M - 67.78 (PR); 400 M Relay - Havyn Gaytan, Paulina Hernandez, Larie Belle Urbano, Yanelli Caballero Havyn Gaytan.

Middle School tennis competes in Andrews

This weekend, the Fort Stockton Middle School tennis team competed in the Andrews Tennis Tournament. The 7th Grade Team had a fantastic tournament dominating their brackets including an All-Fort Stockton Championship match between Daniel Hernandez/ Alexsandra Navarrette and AJ Marquez/ Destiny Munoz. The 8th Grade Team had a tough time finding their best form, but they competed well, and produced some good matches.

Panthers edge Monahans behind Diaz’s 13 Ks

Body
Friday night the Fort Stockton High School baseball Panthers competed against Monahans in a thrilling 1-0 ballgame that the Panthers would win. Gerry Diaz started on the mound for the Panthers and struck out 13 batters and only allowed one hit on the night. Julian Leyva, Bryan Encinas and Corbin Luna would each get a hit for the Panthers. Bryan Encinas scored the lone run for the Panthers off of a sacrifice fly from Corbin Luna. Julian Leyva came on in relief to pitch in the seventh inning and he would get the last three outs by striking out the side.

Middle School swimmers set records in Monahans

Body
The FSMS Blue Wave swim team competed at the Monahans Invitational Friday, March 22, where a remarkable five school records were broken. The boys couldn’t let the girls have all the fun breaking records. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Grayson Foster, Camiren Sexton, Haizen Gregory, and Mason May broke the long-standing record by two seconds that was set in 2016 with a time of 2:21.41.
